Plugin overview

C-Value Analyzer measures spectator sightlines for stadium and arena seating. It computes the C-value for every selected chair against a focal point, line, or element outline, colour-codes the seats by band, visualises the focal geometry, and exports the results to CSV.

Tutorial

How to use this plugin

  1. Download C-Value from the marketplace and run the installer; finish setup.
  2. Open a floor-plan view containing seating and launch C-Value Analyzer from the BIM Hive tab.
  3. Enter the eye height and lateral tolerance (in millimetres).
  4. Select the chairs using your preferred selection mode.
  5. Set and pick the focal reference (point, line, or element outline).
  6. Click Analyze to compute the per-seat C-values.
  7. Use Show Coloring to colour seats by band, Show Focal to visualise the focal geometry, and Export CSV to save the results.

Colour bands: red below 60, orange 60-90, light green 90-120, dark green above 120.
