Plugin overview
Finishes Tool builds all the finishes for a room - ceiling, plaster, paint, floor, and skirting - from a single dialog, so you don't have to model each layer by hand. Select one or more bounded rooms, choose your types and dimensions, and it generates every finish element in one pass using your project's existing wall, floor and ceiling types.
Tutorial
How to use this plugin
- Download Finishes Tool from the marketplace and run the installer; finish setup.
- Open a plan view containing placed, bounded rooms.
- Go to the BIM Hive tab and launch Finishes Tool.
- Select one or more rooms (use Multiple-selection mode for several).
- Set the ceiling type and either Drop-from-Top (DT) or Clear Height (CH).
- Choose the plaster wall type and overshoot (PO), and the paint wall type/mode.
- Configure the floor type, skirt type, and skirt height (SH).
- Click OK to generate the finishes for the selected rooms.
