ISO 19650 Workset Manager Documentation

Build ISO 19650-aligned worksets automatically, with a full preview before anything is created.

ISO 19650 Workset Manager scans your project -- or just your current selection -- and groups elements by category, level, and whether they're structural, then proposes a workset for each group using a naming template you control. Nothing is created until you've reviewed the full preview.

Installation

1. Download the installer from your BIM Hive account's Downloads page. 2. Run it, agree to the terms, click Next, then Install. 3. Open Revit -- the plugin adds a BIM Hive tab to the ribbon. 4. The first time you launch it, enter your license key when prompted (find it anytime on your account's Licenses page).

How to Use

1. Open your Revit 2024 project. 2. Go to the BIM Hive tab and open the Worksets panel. 3. Click Create Worksets by Category. 4. If the project isn't workshared yet, choose Yes to enable worksharing when prompted. 5. Set your naming template, or keep the default {Discipline}-{Level}-{Category}. 6. Choose the scope: Entire Model or Selected Elements. 7. Use the Categories panel to include or exclude specific categories. 8. Review the Preview grid and edit any Discipline or Category cell if needed. 9. Click Create Worksets to generate the worksets and assign every element.

Naming & Scope

The naming template defaults to {Discipline}-{Level}-{Category}, and every proposed workset is editable per row in the preview grid before you commit. A searchable Categories panel lets you include or exclude entire categories from the run. Re-running the tool reuses any existing workset with a matching name instead of creating a duplicate, so it's safe to run again later as the model grows.
